BASF has been committed to the health of its employees from the very beginning. The first company doctor was appointed just one year after the company was founded. For over 150 years now, the health of our colleagues has been the focus of our activities both locally in Ludwigshafen and worldwide. We offer our customers a comprehensive range of medical services, from preventive occupational health care in accordance with various legal requirements, basic and company-specific care in accordance with DGUV V2, to acute and emergency medicine and health promotion.
Around 150 employees take care of the medical needs of our clients in our new BASF Medical Center, the Prevention Center and the rescue service. We are a reliable partner in health protection with high quality and short distances.
The acute/emergency medical service is a fixed part of the contract for all site partners and contractors working on the site. All other services can be booked in addition.

Site clinic and emergency services
Site clinic
The outpatient clinic at the BASF Medical Center in Ludwigshafen is the central point of contact for BASF employees, contractors, and visitors who have suffered an acute illness. Medical assistance is available here at any time without an appointment (365 days a year, 24 hours a day). Medical services range from the treatment of colds to initial and follow-up care for workplace or private accidents such as abrasions or burns, and even initial treatment for life-threatening illnesses.
